Republicans Trying to Gut The Auto Union
The Republican Party are endangering our chances of coming out of this recession. The Republicans want to play Russian Roulette with the economy because we cannot afford the layoff of millions employees if the auto industry is not bailed out.
In a free market, we have a principle called creative destruction. In creative destruction is described in Joseph Schumter’s book "process of industrial mutation that incessantly revolutionizes the economic structure from within, incessantly destroying the old one, incessantly creating a new one."
Detroit has been gone down hill for a long time. Companies like Toyota and Honda were designing new cars were better and superior to the American-made cars. In a normal economy, the long-term downturn of American automobile industry was example of "creative destruction" could maintained. The national economy could absorb the lost auto jobs even though some regional economies were hurt such as in the "Rust Belt". To maintain their status in life, people in the Rust Belt would either relocate to the new areas where the jobs are or enter retraining to learn new skills and jobs. Therefore, in a normal economy, there is no need for a bailout because the force of "creative destruction" can work properly
In a recession like this, the replacement jobs do not exist because the unemployment in all fields is significantly increasing. Therefore, adding a significant amount of unemployed workers would clog the goverment with billions of dollars in government obligations for social welfare. Therefore, the GOP’s idea that the process of "creative destruction" will solve this problem is a logical fallacy.
In addition, the GOP’s tactics will result in the destruction of the one of the big unions. So score one for big business? But what cost? Millions of jobs lost, billions in lost government revenue, more people losing their health insurance, and of course a significant increase in debt to the local and state government.
I guess idea of the GOP playing a "scorched earth" policy on the auto bailout will come back to bite them in the ass.

Another Bill O Rant
Unless you know what’s going on in Washington State.
Seattle now rivals San Francisco for secular-progressive nuttiness. The city fathers are allowing public nakedness in city parks, nude bike riding, and in Fremont, a Seattle suburb, they actually put up a statue honoring Lenin, the father of communism.Unless you know what’s going on in Washington State.

Paying for Meal in Jail
Sheriff Joe, America Favorite Sheriff, has decides to make inmates pay for food in jail. Now, last time, I checked it was the county responsibility to pay for meals in jail. Now for a guy at my income level, I can easily afford to pay for own food in jail. An article on Tampa Bay 10 states
“Phoenix, Arizona – Maricopa County jail inmates will start paying for their own meals beginning in January under a policy Sheriff Joe Arpaio revealed last week.
The move could save taxpayers more than $900,000 each year in food costs, if the Sheriff’s Office’s early estimates are accurate.
The policy would charge inmates $1.25 per day for their meals. It would apply only to those inmates who have money in personal accounts or “on their books.” Arpaio estimated that about 2,000 of the nearly 10,000 inmates in the system will end up paying for food each day. Those who can’t afford to pay will still receive food, but Arpaio said prison officials will track their free meals.
Inmates can accrue money in their accounts in two ways. If they’re carrying cash when they are arrested, it goes into an account. Later, friends and relatives can send them money.”
I guess this shows how bad the state of American economy is when you have to pay for food in the local county jail
